Stephen Curry had a ready explanation for his 'Shaqtin' A Fool' moment in the third quarter of Golden State's rout over the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday.

The Warriors were comfortably ahead and Curry had a chance to put an exclamation point on the win when he got stole the ball and was left alone on the break.

Before he could even leap for a possible slam dunk, however, the two-time NBA MVP shockingly slipped on the Staples Center floor. He had a chance to save the highlight after Andre Iguodala passed him the ball for a three-pointer ā€“ only for Curry to airball the shot.

In an appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" the next day, Curry said: "What had happened was, the LA Kings had a game right before so they must not have put the floor back on top of the ice all the way."

"There's a little wet spot, and I slipped," he added.

Curry said he had wanted to do "something crazy" at the moment ā€“ possibly even a 360-degree slam dunk.

"It just didn't happen," he said.

When asked about his airball, Curry quickly replied: "I was a little dizzy."

His blooper aside, Curry still got the last laugh after the Warriors blew out the Lakers, 130-111. He scored 11 points and dished out 12 assists; Klay Thompson stole the show with a 44-point explosion after hitting 10 3-pointers.
