MANILA -- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in five localities in the country.

In a media release from the Presidential Communications Office, it said the holiday declarations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin. 

The President issued Proclamation No. 693, declaring October 4,2024, a special non-working day in Infanta, Pangasinan for its 148th Founding Anniversary. 

Marcos Jr. issued similar declarations through Proclamation No. 694 in Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur for its 67th Founding Anniversary on October 16,2024; as well as Proclamation No. 695 for Negros Oriental as it celebrates the Buglasan Festival on October 25,2024.

Through Proclamation No. 696, the President declared October 26,2024, a special non-working day for Angeles City, Pampanga for the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan Festival. The festival commemorates the city's recovery from the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in June 1991. 

Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. wants the people of Dingle, Iloilo participate in the commemoration of Cry Lincud, the first declaration of revolution against Spain in the Iloilo province and Panay Island. 

In line with this, he declared October 28,2024, a special non-working day in the whole municipality through Proclamation No. 697.
