MANILA — The Police Regional Office XI and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said on Monday that they still have no idea on the whereabouts of televangelist Apollo Quiboloy, who is facing human trafficking and sexual abuse allegations.

DCPO spokesperson Police Capt. Hazel Tuazon said they are still waiting for the copy of the arrest order from the Senate, as well as the coordination from the Senate's sergeant at arms to act on the matter.

Tuazon earlier said the Senate's sergeant at arms should coordinate with local police to avoid possible disorder during the serving of the arrest order, as Quiboloy has many supporters.

PRO XI spokesperson Police Maj. Catherine Dela Rey also said that they are ready to implement the arrest order.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte on Friday did not give a comment about the arrest order against Quiboloy.

"I do not want to comment because that is a national matter, and we are talking about something else here," he said.

The Senate last week ordered the arrest and detention of the televangelist for his continued snub of the chamber’s hearings into alleged human trafficking and sexual abuse cases, some of which are now before local courts.
