MANILA- No Filipino was reported hurt in the mass shooting incident in Maryland, USA, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Friday.

A woman armed with a handgun opened fire on Thursday at a Maryland distribution center for the Rite Aid drugstore chain, killing 3 people and wounding 3 others before taking her own life.

Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez said the Filipino community in Baltimore has not heard of any Filipino being among the dead or wounded in the incident.

Romualdez also extended his condolences to the families of those who died due to the incident.

There are nearly 7,800 Filipinos living in the First Congressional District of Maryland, which covers Harford County, the DFA said.
