Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, the lawyer of Cassandra Li Ong, confirmed his client together with Shiela Guo are now under custody of the NBI in Quezon City as of Friday morning.

Ong has been linked to the Lucky South 99 POGO in Porac, Pampanga that was raided recently for alleged illicit activities, while Guo has also been tagged in POGO operations.

The two were arrested in Batam following news Alice Guo had allegedly fled the Philippines and was reportedly in Indonesia along with some companions.

Topacio said that Ong and Guo were provided ‘folding chairs’ inside an airconditioned ‘special detention room’ on the 8th floor of the NBI headquarters.

He said his client has not been inquested yet and will undergo the said procedure this Friday morning either at the NBI headquarters or at the Department of Justice.

Sinabi ko rin kay director [Santiago] but of course it is useless to debate the issue now because si director is doing his job, I’m also doing my job. We will leave it up to the proper forum to resolve,” he explained.
