MANILA — The Supreme Court en banc has required former Caloocan City 2nd District Rep. Edgar Erice to comment on the motion filed  by Joint Venture of Miru Systems in connection with the 2025 automated polls.

The order of the court follows the urgent motion for the issuance of a confidentiality and protective gag order filed by Miru to prevent Erice from discussing  and disclosing information on the case to any third party.

“The court required petitioner Edgar Erice to file his comment to the Joint Venture’s motion within a non-extendible period of 10 days from notice,” said SC Spokesperson Camille Ting.

Erice has a pending petition for certiorari against the P18-billion contract awarded by the Commission on Elections to Miru Systems for the conduct of the 2025 automated national and local polls.
