MANILA — Presidential Anti Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Executive Director Gilbert Cruz is confident that cases against suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo will prosper, citing the "strong" set of evidence they have obtained.

“Opo, maganda po ang ebidensyang hawak natin ngayon and bukod pa po doon, nagdadatingan pa po ang ibang evidence na pwede nating gamitin,” Cruz said in a PTV interview.

Cruz said they are eyeing to file forfeiture cases against illegal POGOs which would allow the government to use properties of the illegal companies.

“Yung karamihan na malalaking POGO hubs lahat 'yan fino-forfeit natin ang mga buildings, 'yung mga sasakyan. Naka civil and criminal forfeiture… Kaya ang nakakatuwa dito 'yung isang finorfeit natin sa Pasay ginagamit na ng DSWD for rescued victims doon," he said.

PAOCC is also investigating alleged protectors of illegal POGOs, including those from government, as well as those leaking information that allowed POGO masterminds and employees to escape government raids.

PAOCC also believes that POGOs are "not worth the trouble," pointing out that many kidnapping cases are POGO related.
