MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has appealed to fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy to surrender to authorities as they acknowledged that they don't know where he is.

Police Maj. Catherine Dela Rey, Police Region XI spokesperson, assured Quiboloy that he will be safe and secure in police custody.

Dela Rey said that the cases Quiboloy is facing — for alleged sexual abuse and child abuse — are all bailable, for P200,000 and P80,000, respectively.

The televangelist's five co-accused in the cases earlier surrendered to the PNP and the National Bureau of Investigation. They have been released after posting bail.

'QUIBOLOY STILL IN PH'

The regional police spokesperson said that they are already coordinating with different law enforcement agencies like the NBI to monitor Quiboloy’s whereabouts.

"We believe na nandito pa siya sa Pilipinas o nasa Davao Region pa po siya," she said.

Dela Rey said personnel from the Senate's sergeant-at-arms office might arrive in Davao City in the next few days with a separate arrest order issued by the upper house of Congress.

"[A]ng role naman po ng mga kapulisan doon is to assist the personnel from Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms and ensure the security of the personnel — including the safety and security of Pastor Quiboloy," she said.

She said arrangements have already been made for the OSAA team's arrival in Davao City and their eventual return to Pasay City.

Ferdinand Topacio, Quiboloy's lawyer, had said that they would exhaust all judicial remedies in relation to the pastor's cases, claiming that "some powerful individuals" were "hell-bent on persecuting" his client.

Quiboloy has denied that he sexually abused female personal assistants or "pastorals", saying the women made up the accusations because he rejected them.
