MANILA -- The Police Regional Office in the Davao Region said on Wednesday that the Senate's Sergeant-at-Arms, led by director Manuel Parlade, served the order of arrest against Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy after he failed to attend past several hearings.

PRO XI director Brigadier General Alden Delvo said the OSSA, together with the PNP, and the National Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Mindanao region, went to the property of Quiboloy to serve the warrant.

However, Quiboloy has not been located.

Delvo said they need the exact information before conducting police operations to find Quiboloy.

"We could not just do any police operations basta-basta, although we are ready, like pupunta ka sa KJC, and there are students there na ma-traumatize sa amin entering there without us knowing yet the whereabouts," he said.

Delvo assured that their tracker team and the members of the intelligence community that they tapped are extending efforts in locating the televangelist.

He said that he is being professional while dealing with the case, even if apparently, he and Quiboloy are friends.

When asked by the media about him being friends with Quiboloy in the past, Delvo said this will not affect their manhunt against the pastor.

"Alam niyo ba kung kailan ang birthday ni Pastor Quiboloy? April 25. It coincides with my birthday. That's why magkakilala kami. And there were times also that I don't celebrate my birthday at home. I just celebrate it with him doon sa kingdom niya," he said during the AFP-PNP press corps media briefing on Wednesday.

He also directed all the intelligence units to double their efforts in looking for Quiboloy.

"Being a policeman, a police regional director, I am just professional. I am just doing my job. I have a warrant. Wala man kaming atraso sa isa't isa. Maybe he has something to answer in the courts of law, but I am just doing my job. With that, I will really exert effort in finding him and bringing him to the courts who issued the warrant," he added.

Delvo is hoping that Quiboloy will surrender before their birthday, which could also be the police chief's retirement.

"I am a professional. He has a warrant. I am ordering my men to effect that warrant of arrest. Rest assured that I'll be doing my job," he said.

When asked what makes finding Quiboloy difficult for the authorities, Delvo said Quiboloy is a high-profile individual and has many friends.

He said there are individuals whose really difficult to be found, just like General Gerald Bantag.

"Probably, it is not hard for us really but because of his being a high-profile individual and having a lot of friends, probably, that would be one of the reasons na siguro, he has a lot of logistics," he said.

However, the authorities have been continuously negotiating with the lawyers of Quiboloy to surrender the KOJC leader.

With 19 licensed firearms reportedly owned by Quiboloy, Delvo explained why the pastor is only armed but not dangerous.

"He was given a license to own and possess firearms, probably, he also has a permit to carry. Historically, wala naman yatang kaso si Pastor Quiboloy on the unlawful use of firearms, nanutok ba siya or whatever. So I cannot say na sasabihin na he is armed and dangerous," he said.
