MANILA — Authorities in Davao City still do not not know where Apollo Quiboloy, fugitive leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ religious group is, seven days since they received a warrant for his arrest for child and sexual abuse cases

Quiboloy, who has given the government conditions for his surrender, has not been seen, much less arrested.

The Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms met on Monday with the local security sector to discuss how to implement a separate arrest order against Quiboloy from the Senate.

“As soon as malaman ang whereabouts ni Quiboloy ay i-serve na ang warrant,” Police Maj. Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson for Police Regional Office 11 (Davao Region), told ABS-CBN News on Tuesday.

(As soon as we find out Quiboloy's whereabouts, we will serve the warrant.)

Lawyer Archie Albao, regional director of National Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Mindanao, said the OSSA handed the transmittal paper and the arrest order to PRO 11.

“Nag-meeting kami. They just listened to all inputs of all the law enforcers particularly PRO 11 and the NBI 11,” he said.

“After that, they decided not to serve the warrant kasi walang sightings and info. Useless lang daw i-serve,” he added.

(They decided to not to serve the warrant because there were no sightings and no information. There was no point in serving it.)

Albao said the tracker and the intelligence teams are monitoring places where Quiboloy might be.

The warrant of arrest from Davao Regional Trial Court Branch 12 will be returned after 10 days or on April 12.

Albao said authorities will request an alias warrant, which would authorize Quiboloy's arrest even after the original warrant is returned to the court that issued it.
