MANILA — The owner of St. Gerrard General Contractor and Development Corporation filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) as mayor of Pasig City on Monday.

Sarah Discaya personally went to the Comelec office escorted by her supporters. 

In her statement, Discaya thanked the Comelec personnel and her supporters.

“Nag-file na tayo, I’d like to thank Comelec staff, sobrang accomodating. Officially I filed for the position of Mayor of Pasig. I’d like to thanked all my supporters,” Discaya said.

She did not entertain any questions from the media but her staff said they will announce a press conference soon.

She is the wife of St. Gerrard chief executive office Pacifico Curlee Discaya.

Discaya will be the closest rival of incumbent Mayor Vico Sotto who is eyeing for his third term.
