MANILA - With 2018 drawing to a close, everyone's preparing to start the new year right, perhaps including some of the biggest names in local and international politics.

Here is a feng shui reading of several of them for the upcoming Year of the Earth Pig based on their Chinese zodiac signs, as shared by practitioner Andy Tan in an interview with DZMM's Magandang Morning.

1. OUSTED CHIEF JUSTICE MARIA LOURDES SERENO AND FORMER PRESIDENT BENIGNO AQUINO III

Ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and Former president Noynoy Aquino III .

It's time for "redemption" in 2019 for Sereno and Aquino, both born in the year of the rat, after a trying 2018, said Tan.

Sereno was ousted as chief justice in May when her peers at the Supreme Court granted a quo warranto petition that nullified her appointment. Aquino meanwhile faced several legal challenges, including an interrogation by lawmakers, over his administration's rollout of the Dengvaxia program.

2. CHINESE PRESIDENT XI JINPING

China's President Xi Jinping waves to the crowd upon his arrival at Ninoy Aquino International airport during a state visit in Manila, Philippines, November 20, 2018.

Xi was born in the year of the snake, the mortal enemy of the pig, so Tan expects China's industrialization to "slow down" this year, leaving its Belt and Road initiative "slightly affected."

Tan expects this to have an indirect effect on the Philippines' economy, which would otherwise be "good."

3. SENATOR MANNY PACQUIAO

Manny Pacquiao celebrates after defeating Lucas Matthysse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 15, 2018.

Boxer-legislator Manny Pacquiao, born in the year of the horse, will have a "very good year" and will surely win his upcoming fight against American boxer Adrien Broner, according to Tan.

4. PRESIDENT RODRIGO DUTERTE

President Duterte rings one of the 3 Balangiga bells during the turnover ceremony at the municipal covered court on December 15, 2018.

Duterte was born in the year of the earth rooster, which is compatible with the earth pig, said Tan.

5. SENATORIAL ASPIRANT MAR ROXAS AND FORMER SENATOR BONGBONG MARCOS

Former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas and Former Senator Bongbong Marcos.

Unlike Duterte, whose element was earth, Roxas and Marcos were born in the year of the fire rooster--meaning, they will not have as much good fortune this 2019.

Marcos, who has a pending electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo, may not get a favorable decision when the tribunal decides next year, said Tan.

6. UNITED STATES PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP

Fiery Trump will get his comeuppance in 2019's year of the pig, which is incompatible with his fire dog sign.

"Lahat ng pinasukan nyang problema, this year malilintikan na sya," said Tan.

7. NORTH KOREAN LEADER KIM JONG UN

North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un looks at US President Donald Trump before their bilateral meeting at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa island in Singapore June 12, 2018.

The leader of the hermit state, born in the year of the water pig, will continue to bask in the limelight in 2019, said Tan. In 2018, Kim made history by meeting with both Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
