ALEOSAN, North Cotabato - An explosion along the National Highway in Sitio Bliss, Barangay Pagangan Dos, in Aleosan town, North Cotabato on Wednesday night left at least 7 people injured, police said.

Based on a report from the authorities, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were planted along the national highway and one went off, injuring seven people and toppling an electric post in the area.

The victims were identified as Amerol Musa Tantos, Hanep Alipa Ayon, Yahya Kasan, Pahmi Daya Diamla, Johary Amerol, Salman Tahir, and Jamal Pacalna.

The victims were on a truck when the explosion occured. They were rushed to the Aleosan District Hospital.

Police and soldiers have been deployed to the area. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
