MANILA - Police on Wednesday rejected social media rumors that several kidnapping incidents recently occurred around the University of Santo Tomas.

Some Facebook and Twitter posts claimed that several UST students were abducted near the 400-year-old Catholic university, allegedly along España Boulevard, and Dapitan and Padre Noval streets.

Ines however confirmed that 3 suspected thieves were arrested on Tuesday night near the UST campus.
