MANILA - Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said Friday he would donate at least P4.5 million worth of his talent fees from endorsement deals to Universidad de Manila (UdM) to improve its facilities.
The actor-turned-politician said at least 3 companies have hired him as brand ambassador, and that he would give his earnings from there to fund improvements at the city-run school.
These include upgrading the university's computer laboratory to bring it up to par with that of private schools.
"Kung ano itsura ng private school, 'yung mga computer lab,'yun din dapat makuha ng mga public school students," Moreno said in his weekly Capital Report streamed live on Facebook.
(What private schools have, like the computer laboratories, public school students should also have.)
Moreno earlier donated his endorsement earnings to the Philippine General Hospital, the country's largest government health institution, and the province of Cotabato, which is still reeling from the series of earthquakes that struck Mindanao last October.
