MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Undersecretary Jesus Melchor Quitain of the Office of the President as Officer-In-Charge of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President.

Quitain replaces Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go who resigned from his position to run for senator in the 2019 midterm elections.

Duterte earlier declared that his female police aide and former beauty queen contestant Police Senior Inspector Sofia Loren Deliu will be Go’s replacement.

Go later clarified that Deliu will not be his replacement. -- report from Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
