MANILA — After the recent finale of “The Voice Kids,” the singing competition is gearing up for a new season, this time for teens.
On Twitter, Broadway star Lea Salonga teased that her “journey with ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ will continue sooner than we all think!”
“Teens, humanda na kayo. We are coming for you,” she said.
Salonga, who has been a coach across all seven editions of “The Voice” in the Philippines since 2013, did not give further details.
The upcoming “The Voice Teens” will only be the second time that edition will be held, following the 2017 victory of Team Sarah bet Jona Marie Soquite.
There have been two regular adult editions, with Mintoy Yonting and Jason Dy being named “The Voice” in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
“The Voice Kids,” including the 2019 edition where Team Sarah’s Vanjoss Bayaban won, has had four editions since 2014.
