MANILA – It will be another rainy weekend for Filipinos, said weather bureau PAGASA, due to the effect of an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) on Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

In its 24-hour forecast issued 5 p.m. Friday, PAGASA said that as of 4 p.m., a low pressure area embedded along the ITCZ was in the vicinity of Sorsogon City.

Tropical storm Meari (international name) was located 1,880 kilometers east of Central Luzon as of 4 p.m. Friday. Another tropical depression was 2,845 km east of extreme Northern Luzon. The two did not have significant effect on the country’s weather.
