MANILA - Bad weather forced the cancellation of several flights at Manila's main airport on Friday, authorities said.

As of 12 noon, the following flights have been cancelled, according to the Manila International Airport Authority:

The state weather bureau is tracking two weather disturbances off the eastern seaboard, which are both moving slowly away from the country.

At 10 a.m., tropical storm Meari was located 1,780 kilometers east of Central Luzon, while tropical depression "B" was spotted 2,225 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon.

The areas are still reeling from the effects of typhoons Karen (international name: Sarika) and Lawin (Haima) last month.
