MANILA - Tropical storm Ramil is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau said early Friday morning.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the center of the tropical storm was located at 240 kilometers north of Pagasa Island in Palawan.
As it left PAR, Ramil has intensified into severe tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 90 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 115 kph, PAGASA said.
Light to moderate with possible occasional heavy rains during thunderstorms will still prevail over Palawan due to the trough of Ramil.
