Actress Angel Locsin on Saturday said she feared that, because she had been red-tagged by a military official, the same could be done to those she associated with.

In an interview on Teledradyo, a visibly upset Locsin broke down in tears, as she talked about the accusations directed at her and her sister, Ella Colmenaras, by Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr.

"Parang itong parating na bagyo, di mo alam kung lalabas ka ngayon para tumulong. Ewan ko, baka iyong puntahan ko baka ma-red tag kami, baka madamay," Locsin said.

"Siyempre wala naman kaming ganoong resources kagaya nila para protektahan ang sarili namin."

Locsin criticized the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) official for engaging in red-tagging instead of bringing up related issues to the proper forum.

"Kung mayroon silang sapat na katibayan, bakit hindi nila kami idemanda? Tutal sigurado sila, may source sila, intent sila, bakit nagkakamali pa po sila sa ebidensya. Pero hindi e, gusto nilang sirain kami sa social media," the actress said.

She said she understood that Parlade was doing his job, but she did not agree with his methods.

She added that she has not favored the recruitment of students to become members of the communist New People's Army.

"May point naman sa sinasabi sila. 'Yung mga recruitment na ginagawa sa mga kabataan ay hindi naman dapat mangyari iyon. At sana idemanda nila para magkaroon po ng katarungan ang mga magulang na namatayan," Locsin said.

"(Pero) mayroon tayong tamang venue for that . . . Hindi iyong turo lang ng turo ng mga tao. Of course, sasabihin ng mga witnesses kung ano'ng gusto nilang marinig, siyempre ililigtas nila ang buhay nila, ganoon talaga iyon eh."

In the end, she thanked her supporters for supporting her.

"Maraming salamat sa lahat ng hindi naniniwala. Hindi marahas na nagbibintang. Thank you so much. Wala akong masamang hangarin, hidden agenda. Nandito ako walang itinatago... Tulungan nyo na lang po ako kung kayang iclear ang pangalan namin, kami nina ate," said Locsin.

"Again hindi ko ine-encourage na maging bayolente tayo o ioverthrow ang government. Doon lang po tayo sa totoo... Magingat po kayo kasi may darating na bagyo."
