LA UNION - About 1,000 families have been evacuated in seven municipalities in La Union on Wednesday, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC).

In the town of Bauang, 233 families were evacuated from three barangays as super typhoon Lawin barrels toward northern Luzon.
