MANILA- A court has denied retired Army Major Gen. Jovito Palparan's plea to halt his transfer to the New Bilibid Prison.

Justice Chief Menardo Guevarra said Tuesday Palparan appealed his commitment order to the Malolos Regional Trial Court Branch 15 but was denied.

Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Gen. Carlito Galvez meanwhile has also assured that Palparan would be transferred properly to the national penitentiary on Thursday morning.
