CEBU - Police on Wednesday arrested a Japanese man for allegedly attempting to seize a weapon at a hotel while drunk.

The suspect, identified as Veno Takuma from Osaka, Japan, was accused of trying to take a security guard's firearm.

In the medical certificate, it was found that Takuma, 25, was drunk.

According to police, Takuma wanted to go inside a convenience store in a hotel.

When the guard barred him from coming in because he was tipsy, Takuma allegedly got angry and tried to pull out the security guard's gun.

Takuma is now detained at the Pari-an Police Station for violation of City Ordinance No. 1929, which penalizes drunkenness.
