At least 8 people were injured when an improvised explosive device went off near a lying-in clinic in Barangay Apopong, General Santos City on Sunday noon, police said.

Another improvised bomb exploded in Barangay Poblacion 4 in Midsayap town later Sunday. There were no reported casualties.
