MANILA—Power has been restored in several provinces, hours after Typhoon Ompong devastated northern Luzon on Saturday, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines.

Here are the status of transmission services in the following provinces as of 8 p.m.:

NORMAL

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Pangasinan
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Quirino
  • Aurora
  • Bataan
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Pampanga
  • Tarlac
  • Zambales
  • Batangas
  • Benguet
  • Ifugao

PARTIAL

  • Isabela
  • Ilocos Sur
  • La Union

UNAVAILABLE

  • Cagayan
  • Kalinga
  • Apayao
  • Abra
  • Mt. Province

The typhoon left a trail of devastation in northern Luzon, bringing down communication and power lines, ripping roofs off homes, damaging other structures and destroying crops.
