MANILA - Moderate to heavy rains are expected to affect parts of Pangasinan, La Union, and Benguet as the southwest monsoon is enhanced by tropical storm "Enteng," state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 11 a.m. bulletin, Thursday.

"Enteng" which quickly intensified from a tropical depression was last spotted 730 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, packing winds of 65 kph while moving northeast at 19 kph.

Though PAGASA has warned affected areas of possible landslides and flashfloods, no tropical cyclone warning signals have been raised as "Enteng" is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday morning.
