MANILA—President Rodrigo Duterte met with global superstar Jackie Chan in Beijing, China Thursday.

Photos provided by Sen. Bong Go showed the action-comedy legend made Duterte's signature fist sign.

Chan gave Duterte his 2015 memoir Never Grow Up and a jacket during a short meeting.

The President is on a 6-day official visit to China, where he is expected to raise Manila's arbitral victory against Beijing's sweeping claims in the South China Sea.

Duterte is also expected to raise the code of conduct on the South China Sea, a possible joint exploration for oil and gas and the increasing presence of Chinese ships in Philippine waters. - with a report from Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
