MANILA - Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on Thursday said she would seek reelection in 2019, foregoing a bid for a Senate seat.

This despite her strong showing in a recent senatorial poll by Pulse Asia, where she was in the 3rd-5th places with 46.2 percent of respondents saying they would vote for her.
