MANILA - An employee of the Optical Media Board on Wednesday testified that former Optical Media Board (OMB) chairman Ronnie Ricketts approved the ''disposal'' of the confiscated illegal video materials in 2010.

Ricketts, along with four OMB employees, are facing graft charges for allegedly allowing the release of seized DVDs and VCDs from Sky High Marketing Corporation, which would have been the only evidence against suspected counterfeiters.

Prosecution witness Benjamin Duanan, OMB administrative assistant, told Sandiganbayan that Ricketts approved the disposal of four boxes and two sacks of DVDs and VCDs.

He added the video materials were sold through public bidding and the disposal was approved by the Disposal Committee headed by Atty. Cyrus Valenzuela, also an accused in the case.
