MANILA - Sen. Leila de Lima on Thursday visited her ailing 86-year-old mother in Iriga City after being granted a 48-hour furlough.

De Lima arrived in their family's ancestral house past 7 a.m. to visit her mother, Norma Magistrado de Lima, who suffers from dementia.
