Duterte signs law declaring Sept. 8 a special working holiday

MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law declaring September 8 a special working holiday in the entire country to commemorate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea confirmed the President signed Republic Act 11370.

The bill passed the Senate on May 20, 2019.

Back in 2017, Duterte declared December 8 as a nationwide holiday to commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. - report from Arianne Merez, ABS-CBN News
