Nueva Vizcaya Vice Governor Jose Tomas Sr. wore native attire during the provincial council's special session.

Tomas, who takes pride of being an Ifugao, said that he opted to wear native attire as his way of celebrating Indigenous People's Month.

"Earlier this day, during our special session, I opted to wear my native attire and show my great pride in being an IP. I am also delighted since our Internal Rules authorize the wearing of native attire during sessions, allowing your humble representation to be in Ifugao clothing," Tomas said in a Facebook post.

"Kas nakunak idi election, we must be proud that our province is home to many IPs and non IPs and different cultures and traditions. So no matter what tribe or ancestry you belong, dituy Nueva Vizcaya, maymaysa tayo latta nga maawagan nga Vizcayano. Matagu tagu taun namin!"
