MANILA - A storm off the eastern coast is unlikely to enter the Philippines, but the southwest monsoon or habagat will continue dumping rains over large swaths of the country, the state weather bureau said Sunday.

The southwest monsoon was being enhanced by a low pressure area located 1,335 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, Aurelio told radio DZMM.
