ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Philippine Coast Guard suspended Friday all voyages to and from Zamboanga City due to bad weather.

The trips were suspended around 5 a.m

Fishermen were advised not to venture into sea due to rough waters, Coast Guard Zamboanga Station Chief Lieutenant Commander Noriel Ramos said.

At least 199 passengers were stranded in the pier this morning, Ramos said.

State weather bureau PAGASA said no typhoon is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next 2 to 3 days but the southwest monsoon will bring isolated rains and thunderstorms in parts of Luzon, Western Visayas, the Zamboanga peninsula and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
