ZAMBOANGA CITY - Two houses were damaged as flash flood caused by torrential rains swept a portion of Barangay Dela Paz in the town of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte Sunday.
In a report from Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-Liloy, two families were affected by the flood but there were no injuries or casualties recorded.
Barangay Kayok and Barangay Timan in Liloy also experienced flooding.
Ralph Emmanuel Naong of LDRRMO-Liloy said creeks overflowed and caused flash floods in these areas.

Pagasa Zamboanga Station weather observer Maricar Robles said localized thunderstorms caused the heavy downpour in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
