MANILA – The number of COVID-19 cases among the ranks of the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 1,006, official figures showed Thursday.
The PNP reported no new deaths, with total fatalities at 9. Meanwhile, a total of 455 cops have recovered from the disease.
The 205,000-strong organization is also monitoring 651 probable carriers of the virus. Some 1,252 others are under observation for suspicion of having caught COVID-19.
To date, the number of coronavirus infections in the Philippines have reached 51,754. The tally includes 1,314 people who succumbed to COVID-19 while 12,813 have recovered.
