MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law declaring April 27 as Lapu-Lapu Day in honor of the Filipino hero.

Duterte signed Republic Act 11040 on June 29 declaring April 27 of every year as a special working public holiday throughout the country and a special non-working holiday in the city of Lapu-Lapu in Cebu province.
