In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said winds of 30 to 60 kilometers per hour (kph) may be expected in Batanes within at least 36 hours.

Egay was 405 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora at 10 p.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts of 65 kph, said PAGASA.
