MANILA - US Armed Forces continue surveillance and intelligence gathering as clashes between government troops and terrorists in the besieged city of Marawi continue for a third straight week.
Four Americans were spotted in a video taken in Marawi City, standing beside a pickup truck, flying a drone.
Last Friday, a US P3 Orion intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft was also seen flying over Marawi.
Both the Philippine military and the U.S. Embassy confirmed the assistance provided by the Americans amid the ongoing conflict in Marawi.
The military, however, said U.S. assistance is only limited to "technical support" and assured the public that there are "no boots on ground" on the part of the Americans as the law prohibits such.
