MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte's health is "good," his spokesman said Thursday, after the chief executive admitted to throwing up on a flight back to Manila this week.

Duterte suffered a "migraine attack" while airborne from Seoul and asked his staff to apologize to fellow passengers on the commercial flight for failing to mingle with them, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

"It’s the first time I saw him suffer from the migraine. He said he was sick on the flight because of the migraine, otherwise his health is good," Roque told reporters.

The President said after he arrived in Manila that he vomited during the flight because of migraine.

Aside from the occasional migraines, Duterte is also suffering from various ailments, including Barrett's esophagus, which impacts his throat, and Buerger’s disease, caused by heavy smoking in younger days.
