MANILA - Batangas 6th district Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto is poised to win a second term, with 92 percent of the votes tallied by the Commission on Elections transparency server as of Tuesday.

Santos, a popular movie actress, had 87,932 votes while her opponent, Lipa City mayor Meynard Sabili had 55,646 votes.

Together with her husband, Sen. Ralph Recto, Santos-Recto recently launched the One Batangas local party. She was Lipa mayor before running for Congress.

She was the first woman to represent Lipa in the House of Representatives, with the congressional district formed before the 2016 elections.
