MANILA (UPDATE)—Reynaldo Parojinog Jr., son of slain Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo "Aldong" Parojinog, has been transferred to Quezon City Jail from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame, police said Thursday.

PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. John Bulalacao said Parojinog was transferred from the PNP Custodial Center to Quezon City Jail around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Lawyer Ferdinand Benitez, legal counsel of the Parojinogs, said they were not informed about Parojinog's transfer.

"Tinututulan namin 'yan. Malamang na nagbaba ng order ang court. Ayaw namin 'yan. Papunta na ang mga lawyers doon at aalamin," he said.

Parojinog Jr. is the brother of Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez, who remains detained at the PNP Custodial Center.

The siblings are facing charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and possession of dangerous drugs.
