MANILA -- Former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte on Monday dared a man who linked him to the narcotics trade in a series of viral videos to lodge cases after the latter surfaced before the media.

YouTube clips titled "Totoong Narco-list" claimed drug money was funneled into the bank accounts of President Rodrigo Duterte's son Paolo, son-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio, and former aide Christopher Go.

In a press conference at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), a certain Peter Joemel Advincula on Monday introduced himself as "Bikoy", a hooded figure in the videos who claimed that he kept financial records for the drug ring that allegedly had ties with the Duterte family.

"Mula sa pagiging kilalang scammer, ngayon ay certified na na artista itong taong nagpakilalang Bikoy," Paolo said in a Facebook post.

(From being a known scammer, this man claiming to be Bikot is now a certified actor.)

"Ganito. Puro satsat. Panay drama. Magsampa ka ng kaso. Sasagutin kita. Haharapin kita. Isama mo rin si [Sen. Antonio] Trillanes," he added.

(He's all talk and drama. File a case. I'll answer you. I'll face you.)

Advincula said he was sued for estafa in 2012 and given a 6-year jail sentence in connection with documents he signed with his previous work. However, he was freed in 2016 for good behavior and found a new job.

Paolo earlier claimed that Trillanes, who previously accused the President's family of corruption, was behind the Totoong Narco-list videos, which the lawmaker denied.

The President's son also slammed the IBP for supposedly believing Advincula's claims.

"Mga abogado kayo, matatalino sana kayo, pero, nakapagtataka lang na ang bilis ninyong paniwalaan ang sinasabi ng isang kilalang scammer na nagpakilalang si Bikoy," he said.

(You're lawyers, you are supposed to be intelligent, but it's puzzling that you immediately believed the allegations of a known scammer who introduced himself as Bikoy.)

The IBP earlier said that Advincula still needs to undergo vetting before he is given free legal assistance.
