MAYNILA—Tinatayang P110-milyong halaga ng mga ipinuslit na mga sigarilyo ang sinira ng mga awtoridad sa Zamboanga City.
Ayon sa Bureau of Customs, 3,000 kaha at mahigit 1,300 ream ng mga smuggled at pekeng sigarilyo ang sinira nila sa Brgy. Baliwasan.
Binugahan ng tubig ang mga sigarilyo at saka tinapon sa sanitary landfill.
Ayon kay Zamboanga customs district collector Segundo Sigmundfreud Barte Jr., ang mga nasabing sigarilyo ay nasabat ng BOC sa kanilang magkakahiwalay na operation noong December 2021 hanggang March 2022.
