MANILA - The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said it was monitoring the status of transmission facilities in Luzon following the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that hit large parts of the island on Monday afternoon.

According to NGCP, the earthquake caused power outages in the provinces of Pangasinan, La Union, Pampanga and Bataan.
