MANILA (UPDATE) -- The Department of Education (DepEd) said Tuesday that the 13th month pay for public school teachers would be ready for release by May 15.
"Ang ating 13th month pay ay atin nang pinoproseso at ready na rin for release by May 15," Education Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla said in a virtual press briefing.
(Our 13th month pay is in process and ready for release by May 15.)
Sevilla said the department has also released the salaries of teachers for March and April, and is processing their pay for May.
The department is also processing performance-based bonuses, which was already released in some regions, said Sevilla.
The clothing allowance worth P6,000 was also given to all employees, she said.
The entire island of Luzon and other areas in Visayas and Mindanao were placed under lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
