A team from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology installed an earthquake monitoring device at the local disaster risk reduction and management office of Wao, Lanao del Sur after a magnitude 6.0 quake hit the town last Wednesday.

The Wao local government is urging Phivolcs to investigate a crack in Sitio Gadungan, Kilikili East that is approximately 0.5 feet in diameter and 150 meters long as they suspect it is a fault line.

Francis Garcia of Wao MDRRMO said the Phivolcs staff already denied that the crack is a fault line after seeing the pictures sent to their office.
