From March 27 to April 2, an average of 246 daily infections were logged in the country, which is 33 percent higher compared to the previous week.

This is the highest number of weekly cases in 10 weeks, or since the week of January 16 to 22, when the DOH reported 1,890 cases, according to the ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group.

As of Sunday, 347 cases or 9.3 percent of total COVID-19 admissions were in severe and critical condition, the agency said.
