MANILA - Even under home confinement, residents of a condominium in Pasay on Wednesday held a noise barrage in support of the medical staff of the nearby Adventist Medical Center Manila.

In a video by Andre Primo Beltran, the residents took to their balconies to cheer for the frontliners of the hospital, which is currently treating coronavirus patients.

Some of them banged pots and pans and used whistles for their show of support, which lasted for about 20 minutes.

The noise barrage prompted the hospital's staff to come out of their workplace

It was "chilling," Beltran said.

After the noise barrage, the hospital staff applauded and shouted "Maraming salamat po (Thank you)!"

As of Wednesday, the Philippines has logged 2,311 coronavirus cases with 96 deaths and 50 recoveries.
